Put 'play submission' in the subject field.
Submission Guidelines:
Yes, these guidelines are important. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be discarded, unread. That would be a terrible fate for your play, so don't make us do it. Study the guidelines (there are only four) and submit accordingly. We really mean it. Even if you're Tennessee Williams (and if you're Tennessee Williams, you're submitting from the grave, which, while creepy and cool, will not get you produced if you don't meet the guidelines).
1.) Your play should be no less than ten and no more than fifteen pages, i.e. ten to fifteen minutes. If your play is more than twenty minutes, don't send it.
2.) Your play should require no more than five actors, aged anywhere from approximately 15-50. We do not usually produce works that require young child actors. We are working in a small space, so we do not do works which require casts of thousands.
3.) Simple, one set. No significant lighting or costume requirements. This is theatre on a shoestring.
4.) All submissions must be your original work. Please include your name, address, phone number, and email address on the cover sheet of your submission.
Additional Information:
1.) At this time we don't offer feedback.
2.) Submissions will not be returned, unless you include a self-addressed envelope, with appropriate postage.
3.) You will receive a postcard acknowledging our receipt of your submission. No other contact is to be expected, unless your play is selected. We know it's annoying, but we don't have the personnel to send out individual letters to each playwright.
4.) If your play is selected, you will be contacted three months prior to production.
We look forward to seeing your work!
