A child-centered recreation of Robert Jr.’s 1902 birthday party.

In August 1902, RJ and Mary Whaley hosted a lavish lawn party for their grandson, Robert “Sonny” Whaley Orrell. Join the Whaley Historic House Museum for our 2nd annual recreation of that historic lawn party. This child-centered program will host lawn games, a mini petting zoo, a “fishing hole”, and more! Guests are invited for a slice of cake (while supplies last), compliments of Cupcakes and Kisses of Grand Blanc. While the event will be hosted outside, the house will be available for guided tours as well. This a free community event.
